Tetsuo Furudate & Georg Klein: DADAyama

In the realisation of Dadayama 2006, the composer Georg Klein and Tetsuo Furudate created a spatial and sound situation that reflected Dadaism in Germany and Japan from today's perspective.
The independent composition by Georg Klein for the Maulwerker and live-electronics mostly works with fine, unobtrusive tones, which fit organically into the respective situation. Four individual loudspeakers are placed symmetrically on the long sides, which Georg Klein has assigned to the four performers of the Maulwerker ensemble. Each of the vocalists is equipped with a small transmitter microphone, which is reproduced by one of the loudspeakers. This creates an acoustic mirror situation in which the performers communicate with their acoustic feedback. Soft mouth sounds or the sheer touch of the microphone with the skin become larger-than-life musical events. The microphone penetrates the sounds of speech. Feedback to the mouth, body and loudspeaker mixes with words of Dadaist texts, especially self-expressions and self-definitions of Dadaists.
